• Next Board Meeting: September 14, 2010 at 12 noon in Conference Room of the Cal EPA headquarters buidling.

• Water play has ended, please make sure you bring your childs gear home.
• Wish list: DT is looking for the following items- retauraunt menus, an iron, small picnic tables, play house, tree stumps, glass baby food jars, plastic shelf units, old blankets and throw pillows, old pots and pans, and a pop-up tent.
• Toddlers are looking for soft items (such as round cushions, comfortors or pillows) for the quiet outdoor reading area.
• Teachers will be placing containers in the lobby with projects they need help with; this is a great way to get parent participation hours.

Upcoming Events:

• Mandatory DT Parent Meeting- September 15th from 6-8 PM.  No children.
• Picture day has been scheduled for October 12 and 13.
• Field trip to Fog Willow Pumpkin Farm is scheduled for October 20.
• Piano Man concert at Fairytale Town on September 23.  
• Spring work day has been postponed until the fall. 

Reminders:

• It's sunscreen time!  Make sure you fill out a permission slip and provide the school with suncreen.  
• The classrooms are a NO cell phone zone - please do not talk on your cell phone in the classrooms.
• Please, no food from home.
• Tuition is due every Monday and is considered late by 6PM on Tuesday. Remember the late fee is now $25.
• Parents need to give 30 day notice for schedule change or if your child is leaving the program.
• Sippy Cups:  Please use sippy cups for WATER only.  It is not pleasant to rinse out curdled milk or sour juice.
• Remember to bring warm jackets and a few changes of clothes.
• Please call by 10AM if your child will be absent on a regularly-scheduled day.
• Sign-in Sheets:  Make sure you sign your children in and out with a full signature on both the summary (front) and the individual pages.  Using initials is not permitted by Licensing.
• Sick/Vacation Time:  Please call the center when your child will not be coming for the day, or for a few days.
• Communication Binder:  Please continue to take the time to jot a note or two down in the Communication Binder to share your experiences with DT staff.  Your feedback is important.
• Food Allergy Reminder.  A number of children have sever allergies and it is important to work with the teachers to protect the children.  If you have questions about what is ok or not ok to bring please contact Becca.
• Remember to label all of your kids clothes.
