Kid Ease Child Care Center, Inc.

• Next Board Meeting: February 14 at 12 noon in Conference Room of the Cal EPA headquarters buidling.

• Tax statements:  If you need a tax statement for child care costs please send Ashley an email with this request.  
• Teacher of the Month- Kid Ease and DT are taking this year to honor the teachers that provide such good care of our children.  Keep an eye out in the lobby each month!
• Small groups have started- please see your child's teacher if you wish to help with some projects.
  
• Wish list: DT is looking for kitchen supplies and cookbooks, aprons, dress up clothes, birthday plates and cups, and empty make up containers.
• Weather change:  Please make sure that you have plenty of clothes in your child's cubby so that they can change if they are too hot or too cold.  Dress in layers. 
• Looking for additional aprent participation hours?  DT is always in need of play dough, colored pasta and rice, and books.  You can also volunteer to help out in the classroom either by sharing stories or traditions as well as helping out with snack.
• Teachers will be placing containers in the lobby with projects they need help with; this is a great way to get parent participation hours.

Upcoming Events:

• Painting and flooring- 
• School will be painted February 6-10
• Flooring will be installed in stages- February 24-25; March 2-3; and March 9-10.
• DT sleep over and Parent's Night Out- February (more details coming)

Reminders:  

• The classrooms are a NO cell phone zone - please do not talk on your cell phone in the classrooms.
• Please, no food from home.
• Tuition is due every Monday and is considered late by 6PM on Tuesday. Remember the late fee is now $25.
• Parents need to give 30 day notice for schedule change or if your child is leaving the program.
• Sippy Cups:  Please use sippy cups for WATER only.  It is not pleasant to rinse out curdled milk or sour juice.
• Remember to bring warm jackets and a few changes of clothes.
• Please call by 10AM if your child will be absent on a regularly-scheduled day.
• Sign-in Sheets:  Make sure you sign your children in and out with a full signature on both the summary (front) and the individual pages.  Using initials is not permitted by Licensing.
• Sick/Vacation Time:  Please call the center when your child will not be coming for the day, or for a few days.
• Communication Binder:  Please continue to take the time to jot a note or two down in the Communication Binder to share your experiences with DT staff.  Your feedback is important.
• Food Allergy Reminder.  A number of children have sever allergies and it is important to work with the teachers to protect the children.  If you have questions about what is ok or not ok to bring please contact Ashley.  In general, no outside food is allowed at the facility.
• Remember to label all of your kids clothes.
